Easy Shortcuts to Change Text Font Sizes Try these keyboard shortcuts to quickly change the font size for selected text in Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and even Outlook (unfortunately, not in Excel): [Ctrl] + ] to increase font size by 1 point size increments such as 12 point to 13 point * [Ctrl] + [ to decrease font size by 1 point size increments * [Ctrl] + > to increase font size by standard size increments (the same as the size drop-down list, for example, 12, 14, 16, 18) [Ctrl] + < to decrease font size by standard size increments
Try these with your next project and notice how much time you save! * In PowerPoint, these shortcuts change size by the standard size increments and not by 1 point size at a time.
